PLAYING STACCATO DELAY STYLE LICKS

Staccato delay licks sound complex but are rather easy with proper delay settings and technique. It is really just 8th notes with a delay effect turns them into 16th notes. Here are some tips to help you get started.

Delay settings:

Effect Level - You want this fairly hot the same volume as your clean signal.

Feed Back - You want one dominate note to ring back.

Delay Time - On these licks the time is set at 400 ms, the lower the ms the faster tempo, higher ms slower tempo.400 ms is around 110 beats per minute.
